Every Halloween I get a friendly reminder in my email to watch out for registered sex offenders in my area.
I thought I might pass these Coulterville addresses along so that you can avoid them when you have your kids out trick or treating this year.
There are four sex offenders currently residing in Coulterville. By law, they are supposed to leave their lights off during trick or treat hours, but with one non compliant, and two of the four having Facebooks accounts, it doesn’t appear they are following the rules of their parole/probation.

There are 30 offenders in Sparta, 9 in Marissa, 56 in Chester, 37 in Pinckneyville, and 7 in Tilden.

Follow these tips to have a safe and happy Halloween!
1. Trick or Treat in well-lit, familiar neighborhoods.
2. Always make sure children are supervised by an adult.
3. Bring a flashlight to see where you are going (and to help others see you!)
4. Report any suspicious behavior to the proper authorities.
