Gila's Place

A menagerie of eclectic things…

I worried about Romey when we moved. We’d just lost Frankie, making Roman the only dog, a big change because that’s something he’d never been- he’s always been part of a pack. He’d lived almost his whole life at my place at the lake and I just didn’t know how he would respond to all the new people, routines, and just our general surroundings.

Romey just makes himself at home everywhere we go. He loved Patty’s lake so much he wore himself checking it all out.
He learned the parameter of our yard and rarely attempts to leave. He loves watching the ditch kitties in the evening when I work in the yard.
We are both getting old, and showing it with all our gray. I think we are both packing it around with class.
I often wonder if he misses our place at the lake.
