We were all so saddened to hear of Melanie’s passing. Do you have any updates on her dogs and horse?
Sadly, Emma was put to sleep the day after Mel’s accident. Drake is with a local boarding facility until a new home can be found for him. Earl is with a local rescue awaiting medical treatment and adoption. I believe Tommy the horse has already been placed with new owners but haven’t confirmed yet.
So sorry for the loss to all her family, friends and colleagues.
Thanks for the heads up on the typo. I’ve never had to write an obit for this website or my previous column, and it was hard to see through the tears. Thank you for your kind words.
